AMEX BCP pending due to previous APP

So I was recently approved for a BOA, CAP1, and Discover IT so I decided to try my hand at AMEX.  I have been reading alot of people having good luck wih Delta Gold Sky and so I went to their site and checked and I was preapproved for their BCP card.  I opened anotther browser and tried for both cards at the same time.  Now my MYFico 8 EXP score is only 670 right now due to the recent accounts being opened up.  I immediately got a denial for the Delta Gold and was told to call for the BCP.  After a brief conversation with a gentleman who informed me that the BCP would be pending due to having 2 applications at the same time and it would be 5 days before they would process the app.  Any suggestions on what I might expect.  I will list my info below.  

BOA CLI = 1500 opened 3 weeks ago

CAP1 = 500 opened 3 weeks ago

DISCOVER - 500 opened 1 month ago

EXP/670 EQ/640 TU/580

HAVE 5 LATES ON CAR LOAN DUE TO CREDIT UNION MAKING MISTAKES ON AUTOMATIC PAYMENTS (HAVE BEEN DISPUTING THIS BUT CREDIT UNION SAYS IT WELLS FARGO'S FAULT AND WELL'S SAYS IT THE CREDIT UNIONS FAULT)

NO OTHER CARDS (PAID PREVIOUS CARDS OFF AFTER SECOND DEPLOYMENT 12 YEARS AGO. HAVE NOT HAD ANY CARDS SINCE THEN)

Sorry but I wouldn't be too hopeful in this case. Stranger things have happened but your scores, small new approvals etc make me think a BCP is probably not going to happen right now.

I have to agree with kdm...too many negatives right now combined with low scores on top of the fact that the BCE/BCP are harder to get makes me think you'll most likely be denied. Sorry op.

Yeah with the new cards, low limits and it looks like very short time that you have had them......  But I think that it is the late payments that are going to get you.  I would do everything that you can to get those off your credit report

Same thing happen with me, I applied for BCE on 3/4 instantly approved for 5,500 and next day tried my luck for Hilton Honors and it went to pending. Finally today I received an email that it was approved but not sure the limit yet.

Thanks guys for responding so quickly, I am still waiting for the 5 day window before they can process the BCE application.  I have noticed that so far I have not been hit with an inquiry yet from the Delta Gold denial.  It coud be to soon but normally it happens in the first day or so.  I know that it reaally doesn't make much difference but when I originally opted to apply I went ahead and checked to see if i was pre-qualed for anything and I was for the BCE and a couple others but not for the Delta..  Any idea if i should have seen an inquiry yet for the Delta card being denied, or do you think that it will finally show up after AMEX processes the BCE application.
