AMEX CLI Button Missing?

I'm ready for a CLI on my BCP. Currently at 35K and wanted to get to at least 40K.

Problem is that I cannot find and CLI link. I searched everywhere under "Account Services" and nothing.

I even searched help for "Increase Credit Limit" and no results...

Is there a max of $35K now on the BCP and that is why it is missing?

I use the live chat via the mobile app it gives you a link when you ask for credit limit increase

Should I still try for more than 5K increase with a 35K current limit. Should I try for say 10K and if I get a income verification warning just hit the back button and increment down by 1K? Or is it just a waste of time?

@raisemysc0re -- reference discussion upthread. I don't think the back button 'hack' may work under the above CLI process (in the event IV prompt pops up), but you're welcome to try and report back.

If you get IV prompt while using the link, hitting back button is useless, even if you start over, you will end up with another IV prompt.  However, using the link doesn't mean IV will be required, you might get an increase without it. 

One thing that is still the same, if you decide not to go through IV, your account will not receive increase, but it shouldn't affect your current limit, you just don't get more. 

They accept 3 consecutive bank statements so it's not intrusive in the same way tax return is. 

As long as your income matches what you reported, it should be fine. 

If this is case of "but I have multiple checking accounts", you can send three consecutive statements from two different banks. You can redact most of the checking account number, leaving only last four digits visible. Your name must be on the statement.

I tried for just the 5K increase from 35K to 40K.

I got the 7-10 day response asking for Banking login or 3 recent statements.

I sent them the 3 statements and will wait for their judgement.

@raisemysc0re I hope that they approve your request! Thank you for sharing this with us! I currently have a limit of $25K on my BCP. I was curious of your path to get your card to $35K. If not too personal/ and you're willing to share, what was your starting limit and what limit increases did you request to get here? I started out at $10K. Did a request for a CLI at 6 months that took me to $20K. Then did another request for a CLI 6 months later to get it to $25K. I've been at $25K for the last 11 months.  Debating whether I want to ask for $5K or $10K on my next request.

Well, *I* was finally able to request a CLI after about 100 days. Got denied of course. But the interesting DP here is that I had to wait far more than the usual 61 days for a new account. Perhaps that's changed.

I started off at 15K.

Got cli approval to 30K at 91 days.

Another CLI approval to 35K a little over 6 months later.

6 months after that I tried this CLI to get to 40K and I'm still waiting for their decision.

Can you elaborate more on this? What were your current data points at the time of the CLI request? What is your current limit and how much did you request? Since I also recently acquired this card, I would be interested to know more.
