AMEX CLI request after Auto CLI

Hey you all

Question here. Do you think Amex will give another CLI after they just did an auto CLI?

CL went from 15k to 16k w/ auto CLI. 

I am at 38% usage.

So I just went ahead and did the request. Went from 16k - 25k. Instant Approvral. Some information that might be relevant to you.

Im not rich, I make about 40k a year.

My credit score, according to them, is 687.

I havent really used the card in about 2 months, but I still carry a balance from previous months. I was at about 38% usage.

My payments range from 1k-2k a month.

I've had the card for 1 year and 4 months and Ive only requested for a CLI once, after the inital opening to go from 5k-15k.

I can confirm from personal experience that their 6 month interval between CLI's doesn't apply if the first CLI was an auto CLI. 

But 38% is a tad on the high side, especially if it is 38 percent after the auto CLI. 

When I applied for and received a CLI after an auto CLI, I was at a zero balance. I was at a pretty high util when I received the auto CLI.

Congrats on that $25k credit line.  All things considered (decent but not great credit score, income, etc) and not using the card much and especially considering you just got an auto CLI, I think you made out pretty well taking the card from 16k to 25k!

Lol you are absolutely right. I actually thought, with all things considered, that I might actually get a CLD 

But just for a data point. I did use this card primarily for the first year and put between 3k-5k through the card each month. I added my father as an AU to help build his credit and he processes alot monthly he also paid what was processed monthly in full. Lol I think that usage worked in my favor

Definitely... it has been said many times on her that "Amex likes heavy usage" so I would think that constant usage of $4k or so per month gave them the go ahead to hand you that nice CLI.  Good work!
