AMEX CLI

I PIF my collection, plus paid off 99% of all my revolvers. So NEXT month or month after I should be in the 750-770 range and SHOULD qualify for a CLI on my 18 month old Delta Gold AMEX. Since it is 18 months old, is it POSSIBLE for it to increase MORE than 3X the limit? It's at $1,000 now. I want to ASK for $10,000. But I don't want to waste my time asking for $10,000 if MAX possible is only $3,000? Thanks!

It will not go over 3x the current CL amount. You can ask, and if approved, only the maximum of 3x of your current CL can be expected. In very rare circumstances, emphasis on rare, there were instances where it could go above 3x, however, those DPs typically applied to well-established AmEx accounts, history, high income/assets and other factors.

Re: AMEX CLI

You can ask if your income and spending history can support it, but before you ask for CLI, check for the FICO score that's showing on the AMEX app since AMEX is relying on the newest report.
