AMEX Everday - 14 day message

Is this a denial? I've only seen 7-10 day denials, not 14 days. My credit score is pretty low for an AMEX but this has no AF so I thought "what the heck...give it a try". So I would not be surprised to be declined. I also have a fraud alert on my file so it could be that too...anyone else get the 14 day message and get approved?

14 days are mostly a denial.  Have you tried calling them since you have an alert on your reports?

Re: AMEX Everday - 14 day message

Ok, it was because of the fraud alert. He had to call me back on my phone # I provided and I had to verify a couple of things....

AND I WAS FREAKING APPROVED!!!!! $1000 SL but I got the 0% for 15 months intro offer!  My scores are in the freaking 630s! He's also rushing it to me on AMEX since it's my first AMEX and he said when I call to activate it, as for a CLI!!!!  OMG! That's my 4th PRIME card I've been approved for! Now I have DiscoverIT, NFCU Visa Signature and Rewars, and AMEX EverDay!

Gotta ask, any "baddies" lingering on your report?  That's an insane haul you've had with those scores..trying to figure out how.

Re: AMEX Everday - 14 day message

I have no idea how I got those cards. Here are the baddies:

1 medical collection paid EQ and TU - $650
11 late payments reporting on all 3 reports - last one 13 months ago

INQ: TU 10, EQ 16, EX: 10 - all from mortgage and car loan I received earlier this year

No cc inquiries, no cc's other than my lonely cap1 QS1 with $1500 limit and $500 Home Depot card - reporting <10% and 0% UTIL respectively.

Maybe because I don't have a ton of credit cards? I'm a credit card virgin and they wanted to pop my cherry? LOL idk. I do have an good income - $147k. And no BK, no FC, no COs, no unpaid collections or accounts. The NFCU flagship is the only one I was approved for with my husband on it. The rest I app'd alone.
