AMEX Internal Score, Soft Pull (Recent/New) and 3XCLI

Many in this forum had refered countless times about AMEX "Internal Score". Does anyone know as to how frequent AMEX do update this Internal Score for the card holders? Say the time they will do soft pull credit inquiry on EX? Or is it like real time whereby your total spending and payment gets updated nightly?

When you apply for 3XCLI at the end of 61 days (or little later), is it true that their decision is based on last soft pull (say in some cases a month or even older than that)? What about internal score? Would that be in line of your last soft pull, or additional data being added to have accurate and updated "Internal Score"?

Re: AMEX Internal Score, Soft Pull (Recent/New) and 3XCLI

All I know is that after two months when I still had a charge card, the spending ability went from like 2k to well over 4k so I think that had a lot to do with my payment history on that card and on other Amex cards as well.

I strongly believe that AMEX might be monitoring their own account pretty much on a 2-3 times a week basis with instant alert in case of unusual activities etc. So when you apply for 3XCLI they have really know the risk and not just based on last soft pull.....but additionally current pattern with the card......not that if you carry balance it would be negative.....unless of course if balance if 80% of the limit....

My green card spending limit went like this:

Oct: $1300

Nov: $4250 (apped and approved for Gold Skymiles and BCE in Nov)

Dec/Now: $13000

so they update it frequently.

Mine must be pretty decent because my BSP is approved for $22,000. Twice the remaining CL.

How did you find out the spending limit of your green card? Did you keep trying the "check spending ability" until it said decline? I heard someone said that they got locked out for doing it too many times.

Re: AMEX Internal Score, Soft Pull (Recent/New) and 3XCLI

I've already put over $500 through mine, also pretty weird is my statement had already generated before it was even a month. My Hilton card won't generate till the 15th of this month when the card was approved last month.

I just tried $8000 on mine and it said approved lol I've only had my card since Nov 17th. I didn't want to press my luck and get locked out
