Did AMEX change the way their pre-qual is? it is now saying for me
Based on your interests, we recommend the following Cards for you.
Any one else see this?
Yes, I started seeing the same screen yesterday
Mine errored out the first time, and the second time it gave me the "based on your interests" spiel.
I put in my mom's information, and it found actual pre-qualified offers for her.
The same thing happened to me. It used to say it couldn't find any offers for me but now it just says based on your interests....
It's turned into false hope like Discover to lure you in.
Dont app unless you know you're good to go and/or you receive the drug like high word of Congratulations

No it hasn't, it still gives solid prequals with specific APR's. They just changed the wording when you're not prequalified. It used to say, "We couldn't find any offers that matched your..." Now it just says, "based on your interests..."
It's not useless like Discover or BOA.
Ok I'll concur with that. It will give prequals if prequalified unlike discover, however now formatted to give recommends instead of a blatant no, ala Barclaycard advertisements.
I still see legit offers with specific APR and not a range like Discover.

You will if they have an offer for you. If they don't, many are now getting useless "recommendations".
I have two cards with them, both dating to 1999. And I don't get any pre-q or recommendations. I find amex an odd ball.
