Submitted app for BCE on 3/24. Instant denial with 747 EX score. Denied due to too many inqs which is funny because the majority of them are from my mortgage in Oct. Ask for recon last week had someone call me today from the Amex Fraud Protection Dept. verifiying that I submitted the application which is funny beacuse I had a fraud alert on my credit report due to ID Theft but I was instant denied. Application still says in progress on website. Is this a good sign?
No idea with them to be honest hopefully someone else can chime in but Amex no love me LOLOL. But if the only denying factor was Fraud Concern I think they should approve it but YMMV
It could go either way but at least they’re doing a more in depth review.

Just curious, how many inquiries did you have which they deemed too many?

Do you have an unusually high amount of unscorable inquiries? While FICO ignores them, there's no requirement that lenders ignore them. It's unusual that they matter, though.
