Update as of today 5/29 the irs never responded to first 4506-T request and apparently they just reopened 05/11 according to amex and they just resent my 4506-T form again last week still no update. I have been in recon for almost 2 months I even sent an email to the ceo and he actually responded and someone called and just gave me that info.

Ask for recon last week had someone call me today from the Amex Fraud Protection Dept. verifiying that I submitted the application which is funny beacuse I had a fraud alert on my credit report due to ID Theft but I was instant denied. Application still says in progress on website. Is this a good sign?
Just curious, how many inquiries did you have which they deemed too many?
UPDATE: I HAD TO SEND IN A 4506-T AND ALSO DO BANK VERIFCATION VIA PHONE VERIFYING MY NAME ADDRESS AND IF THE ACCOUNT HAS BEEN OPEN MORE THAN 60 DAYS. WAITING ON 4506-T TO BE PROCESSED. WILL UPDATE ONCE THAT IS PROCESSED.
Thats a good sign.

Still waiting? It's strange that they're sending the transcript request directly to the IRS. For the online version of the form, you now give authorization for Equifax Verification Services to obtain the transcripts and give them to Amex, and it's much faster than the old way since EVS has a direct link to the IRS and can instantly pull the information. My last CLI request took a matter of days for Amex to get back to me; whereas before EVS the process usually took 3-6 weeks.
