Ive read different opinions/postings on this and just want to know for sure before proceeding.

My MSD is 2008 thanks to my wife adding me as an AU years back. Last night I was able to apply for the Green charge card and was approved. Since others said it was 1 hp most of the time I also tried the Everyday (stupid move) and was declined.. not sure why and if I should even recon. My score right now is 680. Now, in the future if I wanted to app for an Amex is it true that as long as you are a member and logged into your account you ONLY get a HP if approved for the card? or does it HP you either way? And, is it worth a shot reconning with Amex??

I think I've read that ED is harder to get compared to BCE. And I also think that it wasn't a stupid move as most of the folks here got approved for a revolver after a charge card!

As far as HP VS SP, I believe it's true! I have done it personally. I applied for ED and I was denied. Never saw HP from them, only SP on my EX.

For recon, I believe if there was no mistake on your report, it would be really hard to get a different result!

I did get a HP for PRG but that was when I had just gotten in with Amex. Ever since then, my denials with Amex have been SPs.

i recently got denied for a Blue Cash and it was a soft pull, the way i did it was using my gold charge info.
