Updated the post.

I still have not gotten a decision. The applications are still in progress. I've been told that they've escalated it to their "concern team". The last representative I spoke to says they are doing an income verification. I asked do they want me to submit W2s and pay stubs I was told "if the concern team needs additional information from you they will contact you." It has now been 16 days since the original application. At this point no one I've spoken to at AMEX is sure as to why it is taking so long.

Good luck. Hopefully, all your effort works out to an approval!

Yeah, I would hope that they'd have the decency not to draw out the process this long for a denial.

Good luck OP! Thank you for sharing :-)

Re: AMEX application after Amex charge-offs

I received a letter in the mail to fill out a 4506-T for American Express to get a copy of my tax transcript for income verification. I started my new job (Tech company) in June of last year so my tax return only shows about 81k vs the 185k I put in the application. Part of my compensation is stocks which got issued in January of this year. How can I communicate this to AMEX? I have proof of my offer letter, pay stubs, and my company does income verification for lenders and creditors.

Update: Spoke to a representative they told me it should be fine. They will just do the approval decision based off the 81k number once they get that from the IRS.

Thanks for the update and good luck with the 4506-T submission.  Keep us posted OP.

Re: AMEX application after Amex charge-offs

Spoke to AMEX earlier today. They confirmed they received the completed 4506-t form. I just now got a notification that AMEX did a HP on my Experian. Score is currently 740. Not sure what this means.  Also looking at my Experian soft pulls it looks like AMEX has done 3 SP in the last 2 days. Once on 2/26 and twice on 2/28Screen Shot 2020-02-27 at 10.56.27 PM.png
