Unfortunately a Collection Agency can and do HP on your credit reports only a few are known to do this.. It is a very dirty tactic on their part not only are they reporting monthly, but also hitting you at least once a year with a HP; just shows you what sleezes and kinda companies these JDB are.. Ask me how I know, it use to happen to me.. I have since taken care of this CA and it no longer is an issue, but still have one HP from them and cannot get it removed although it will fall off my EX report in a few months.. The simple way around this to avoid this in the future is FREEZE all your reports and only unfreeze them when needed for a few days that way the CA will not get a HP in on you and they will use a SP to keep up on you. I disputed it until I was blue in the face to no avail.
