Additional documents...

New here, I have a 753 TU & 716 EQ, I've applied for two separate cards, and each time I get the "more documents needed".  Why do I not just get an instant approval?? There is no fraud alert and I've been at the same address for over 5 years.  Thanks for your help...

Re: Additional documents...

Welcome to the forums! What cards did you apply for that are asking for additional documents? And what type of documents are they asking for?

Re: Additional documents...

That's pretty odd. Do you currently have any open credit card accounts?

Re: Additional documents...

Hi. Welcome!

First, where are you getting your scores from? CreditKarma? If so, they are FAKO, not true FICO scores. If this is the case, it would be well worth it to get your FICO scores....

Next, are you military? If so, NFCU or PenFed would be a much better choice for you than CreditOne, which is one of the worst bottom feeders

NFCU $60.4k/PenFed $22.5k/Commerce $15K/53 $11K/Synovus $14K/BBT $11K/CapOne $12K/DCU $7.5K/BMO $7.5K/Chase $14.5k/Cabelas $10K/ and many many more!
Total CL $398600, plus car and RV loan.
Ooh. Ooh. Getting closer to that $500K mark!

Re: Additional documents...

Applying for CreditOne with those scores is a red flag by itself Smiley Wink

Re: Additional documents...

Thanks, the scores came from CK, and Capital one credit wise Apps. I got divorced about 8 years ago and paid off everything after selling house so I don't have any debt. I'm an auth. User on a Barclays Visa w a $9500 cl and only 1700 on the card.

Re: Additional documents...

OP if you are a veteran then you are eligible for Navy Federal - they just changed the criteria for membership to include honorably discharged vets.

Even based on the CK scores, you should be high enough for a nice limit from Navy.. so much better than CapOne and CreditOne too!
