Anyone who is willing to give their $.02, I'd love to hear it.
Here's my creditworthiness picture:
TU FICO: 632
EQ FICO: 654
EX FICO: 652
HH income: $60k/yr
Current util: 8%
AAoA: ~2 years
1 settled collection reporting (PayPal from 2013), and a 3 other chargeoffs from 2012/2013 (including a $900 CapOne that I'm in the process of paying off as we speak). Other 2 are setlled in full.
I definitely don't want to waste inquiries, so in all of your expert opinions, which card(s) would I be best suited for? Mind you, I'm not really interested in store cards. Do we think CapOne would have me again?
Thank you!
BUMP
Anyone who'd like to pick out a few cards for me--feel free! Thanks!
Chargeoffs are too recent for anything particularly great...
I suggest some secured cards to start showing positive history. STAY AWAY from Comenity unless you actually shop at any of their store card offerings.
Give CapitalOne a shot..I am currently in collections with CapOne and I have 3 cards with them, go figure..

Journey is a good card to try out with them. No AF and 1.25% CB, Easily PC to QS down the road.
I actually have 2 secured cards and a Credit One card that I use about 10% of, and PIF every month.
Also, CapOne's website says that I'm 'pre-qualified' for their Platinum and QS1 cards. I'm just not sure how trustworthy these pre-quals are?

They are trustworthy...
But rather than pay AF on a card I suggest rather a Journey. Very similar rewards and no AF.
Nixon,
Just a couple of weeks ago, I opened my first and only Comenity card (J. Crew). I occasionally shop there, but more just did it for the utilization benefits. Why do you warn to stay away from them, though?

It is a critical mistake many rebuilders make....Applying for too many store cards.
