Anyone used Alliant or Elements FCU? I am trying to inquire if they still do SP for membership and checking/savings then a HP
for CC application. Also, are they fairly strict or generous with SL and POI requirments compared to Navy, Penfed, Alliance, DCU etc?
I'm curious about this as well. I'm thinking of joining Alliant for the Ultimate Opportunity Savings account promo they have with Suze Orman, and wonder about their other products.
Just joined Alliant a few weeks ago and got the Visa Signature a few days after that. Membership is a soft pull. The credit card was a hard pull on TransUnion.
Insofar as generosity in general I'd place Alliant a small-to-medium step above DCU and a step behind US Alliance, they're all outclassed by NFCU.

Membership is a SP....For Credit Card, it will be a HP from Transunion. Once they will do HP then that HP will be good for 45 days for more of their products...As for them to being generous with SL then I would say - yes, but keep it in mind that credit limit always depends on- income and your overall profile, and its true with every lender...Yes, there are a few lenders who are extremely generous like NFCU, Penfed, Amex, BOA and some more...but then they are exception to the norm...Good luck..
Does Alliant CU ask for documentation of income on credit card applications?
I am have been a member of Alliant for over s year now. It's a nice CU and I have no issues with it. The Signature VISA is a very nice cash back card.
That said, I recently joined Affinity, and I'm loving it. They have Relationship Specislists that reach out after joining, and she's been awesome. She setup several accounts for me (without me having to do anything but confirming in the email I wanted the products). She also entered my info to get on the preapproved offers list early and told her when I planned on app'ing for their Cash Rewards card. She put thd date I planned on app'ing for the card on her calendar and said she'd check with me then and would try a manual preapproval check, if I hadn't already got one.
The CS so far has been better than anyone, and that's saying a lot, because I've had wonderful experiences with NFCU, AOD, and Alliant.
