Well, I knew I was on the blacklist, but decided to apply for one of their cards. It would be no hard pull if I was blacklisted and oops there it was. Denied! That was two days ago and then yesterday I received an offer to apply for their secured card, Serve. Interesting...
(For those of you who haven't seen any of my posts on this, AmX was included in my Chapter 13 in 2008. When I was denied, there was a note that said I might be able to apply in the future.)
I am not interested in a secured card of any kind anymore, but thought this was an interesting data point for AmX. Anyone else have this experience?
The only other list I am on is Wells Fargo and I have no interest in any of their products.
Sorry to hear and thanks for sharing. Hang in there..

Thanks, Yes-Its-Me. I am not unhappy at all. Just testing the waters. I thought it might be useful to share. With a Chapter 13, you just never know. Actually, when I app again it will be a credit union. I am so happy with my credit union relationships.

I am glad to hear you are just testing the waters. I really hope you can get in again soon and will keep fingers crossed for you.. I agree when it comes the CUs. Penfed has become my favorite CU to date.

I PenFed!
Sorry this happened, musiclover. I really do think you will be able to get back in with them after a few more years if you so choose. There are an increasing number of posts regarding people doing that.
Possibly take a look at those posts and see the average length of time before they can get back in. I bet it is right around 10-12 years for most who were successful in doing so.

Serve is a prepaid debit card basically and not a secured card.
You are right, creditguy. I knew that. I think in my mind I put it in the same category.
