I've been wanting to reapply for the Amazon card since most of my money gets spent there anyways. Unforunately I had this charged off 2 years ago, along with 2 other chase cards and 1 capital one card (love makes you stupid, I know this now). Wanted to get y'alls opinion on what my chances are in the near future to get approved. Credit sits at around 730-750 depending on where you look, and my history since then has been next to perfect.
Did you ever pay back Chase? If not, it'll definitely be a while before they'd even entertain approving you again. Even when paid back, it can be 50/50.
I settled with Chase all the CO. Tried applying for freedom 6 months or so ago but got rejected. I know Chase has along memory, did not know it was THAT long. I'll maybe look for alternatives. @OmarGB9

You would be wasting hard pulls to apply with Chase.
Instead, go for the Affinity FCU cash rewards card, which gives you 5% cashback on all Amazon purchases.
I too am unable to get any chase cards for a while. Had a charge off 10 years ago but am way over 5/24 too. I may try in 2 years if I'm under 5/24 by then but in the meantime I applied for Affinity FCU cash rewards card. Now I have 5% cb for Amazon. Got approved for only $5k but thats more than enough in reality.
I would continue trying the prequal tool in Amazon to see if you get the nod, but I definitely wouldn't bother until you see it.
I don't know if things changed or I just am one of the exceptions to every rule, but I got back in with Chase after about 6 years of burning them in BK. So there is hope of getting back at some point and possibly not as long as the general consensus. If you did not pay them back it is probably too soon for you, if you did you might have a shot.
