Amazon/Synchrony Denial..

I got my denial reasoning from Synchrony for my Amazon card today.  The reasoning is "NUMBER OF RECENT CREDIT REQUESTS".  Meaning, inquiries on my TU?  Or does that mean something else?  I've read that they aren't "inquiry sensitive", so confused here.  When I applied for Wal-Mart, it was a couple months after my discharge in March and they stated it was cause of the bankruptcy.  Got no email/letter regarding PayPal, but was inbetween the other 2.

Wondering if it's just inquiries, is it possible to attempt recon?  Or just wait X months or whatever and reapply?  I've read on the forums that they don't do recon's, what so ever.  Have also read a few cases that people did call in and recon and got approved.  But those threads also had a random nay sayer that'd say it wasn't a "recon", but was more or less some sort of security check that calling in passed the test.

I'm in the garden right now and plan to be for awhile.  Just wondering if it's at all possible to make this HP still work for me or not.

Re: Amazon/Synchrony Denial..

How many inquiries do you have on TU?

There's no harm in trying to recon, but I wouldn't get my hopes up as far as them changing their mind.

Re: Amazon/Synchrony Denial..

8.

3 of which are from them.  3 are open accounts in good standing.  1 is from a denial.  1 is from a checking account I tried opening prior to my BK last year that will be falling off at the start of next year.

EDIT:  I know that why I have them, doesn't matter to the number of them, just clarifying what they were, since it's high-ish.

Re: Amazon/Synchrony Denial..

Synchrony will never recon don't waste your time.

Those who say they had success recon were never denied in the first place .. there app was basically pending verification.

For you situation .. Sync is sensitive to INQ if you have many recent ones (many=5 or more)I was denied for a walmart store card with TU 724 and had 6 INQ 5 of which were 10 days old. and got approved for paypal with 3 INQ 2 of them less than a week old.

Hope that helps

Re: Amazon/Synchrony Denial..

Ok, thanks.  Thought maybe since all that they listed was the inquiry thing, I might be able to explain why there were so many and get it reconsidered.  Reading what you said is making me want to even more now after seeing how many I had on my report at that time.  But, I hear the voice of you and all the threads I've read and realize it's a pointless cause.  lol

At the time that they denied me with that reasoning, they were #2 in <7 days. #3 in <10 days.  #4 in <45 days and #6 in <180 days, in which they were #5 for the Wal-Mart denial (again, know it doesn't matter, just clarifying).
