Amazon blacklisted? Have not applied yet.

Now that my TU is above 620 I want to get ready to apply for the Amazon store card. I called their credit card customer service line to see what they would say about applying with a bankruptcy on record, but before the system would transfer me to a rep, a message played that said "This is an attempt to collect a debt." I'm guessing I'm still blacklisted so I ended the call. I included them in my BK for less that $1k. Does that mean I am blacklisted?

Also, I'm having second thoughts on going for Amazon, and Walmart. Both of them have some pretty bad reviews, mainly due to Synch's practices. I don't want the bank card versions, I feel like the store cards offer better benefits for my usage. Are these cards even worth getting anymore? I shop both places very frequently, but is dealing with Synchrony worth it?

Re: Amazon blacklisted? Have not applied yet.

I see that you mentioned Amazon was included in your BK, so maybe the community can chime in on if the Amazon store card is BK friendly? Also, how long ago did you file for BK and include Amazon? Have you paid Sync back yet?

Re: Amazon blacklisted? Have not applied yet.

I filed at the end of September last year, was discharged at the begining of January this year. No, haven't paid them since the BK. Guess that would help, huh? Smiley Happy

Bad reviews online are usually from people who did something to cause such bad review and want to vent to the world. Synchrony is very good to rebuilders and is one of the best at giving big credit limits when the time is right. I think you should let your scores rise abit though to distance yourself a little from your bk. Its not super hard to get back in with Sync after a bk as opposed to say Chase or Amex.
