Amazon store card with only 7 mot has credit history

Hi curious if some of you can share your experience. I would like to apply for the amazon store card but only have about 7 months credit history. I use this site a lot, so just want to make sure I would not get stuck with a small limit.

Have any of you been approved with this short amount of history and what was your starting limit?

..current cards highest limit is $500 with cap one and discover.

..credit score is around 720, no baddies or lates.

I think you'd get approved, though the starting limit might not necessarily be a high one; I got my own Amazon Store Card at Thanksgiving 2016 about 2 years out from filing Chapter 7 BK, with only a secured Cap One Platinum MC and a student loan that I had been in repayment on for about a year after way too many years of forbearances, lates, and a misguided consolidation into a 2005 mortgage refinance, to my name. The SL was $800, and is now $6000; I'm hoping for a CLI next week, having lately paid off/BT'ed the balance, after Sync does its monthly TU soft pull.

Re: Amazon store card with only 7 mot has credit history

I got my Amazon store card in May of this year with 7 months of credit CARD history (I do have a student loan from 1994 reporting so my AAoA remains rather high even though all of my credit cards are less than 10 months old).  First card, a Capital One QS1 in November 2017 and by May 2018 Amazon Store card was card #5 and my starting limit was $1300 (recently raised to $2000 via the luv button). My score was and is still significanly lower than yours.

You could probably get the STORE card (maybe not the Visa), but the limit would probably be on the low end. Don't expect more than a couple thousand. However, use it well and it will grow.

Discover It: 26.5k
Fidelity Visa: 21.5k
Amex Cash Magnet: 20k
Apple Card: 9k
