How long does it take for your application to be approved from the day you fill out and submit the 4506-c. Has anyone went through this process with Amex recently and got successfully approved ? How long did the process take

Amex let me back in exactly 61 months after my BK 13 filing. They did ask for a 4506-C. It was a bit frustrating as the form kept getting kicked back. The Amex Exec Offices came to the rescue, and got back to me to let me know that the 4506-C needs a wet signature. Previously, I kept affixing an electronic signature.
Once I did it correctly, I had my card in a few days. Amex has been very good to me ever since.
One thing to remember....Once you upload it, you need to keep calling in every few days. If you don't, and if you did not do it correctly, they will not call you. They will send you a letter via snail mail. It's best to call in instead.
I used an app to sign it but it still looks like it could have been done with a pen if that makes sense. Like it doesn't look typed it looked like a real pen did it. Anyway when I call they keep telling me they submitted it to irs so I don't think my signature was an issue unless I'm not talking to the right person

Unfortunately...as good as Amex is...the off-shore reps taking the calls about the 4506-C are anything but knowledgeable. Not one of them told me that the problem was with my electronic signature.
The uploaded 4506-Cs are then uploaded via an Equifax subsidiary...if I recall correctly...to the IRS.
Hopefully yours go through without a hitch.
So the offshore reps kept telling you that the form has been received and successfully submitted to irs or were they telling you that it was getting rejected but just not saying the right reason it was being rejected. Cause so far everytime I call they haven't told me anything about my form being rejected but I assume if it was kicked back they would have at least told me it was rejected by now. They keep telling me it's been submitting to irs tho and just awaiting response
Good to see some more conversation about this... I was beginning to feel like I was talking to myself!
I'm still in the automatic denial-infinity-loop-of-death (where they don't even check my credit or come back with an offer), so after my last Platinum application I called them to reconsider. They eventually got back to me wanting a 4506-C which I provided - but per Jeffster1 and others, no acknowledgement that it was processed or accepted. More annoying, all I got was a carbon-copy of the last denial letter once the timeframe for my application had passed! Another offshore rep said nothing about my form, instead citing only the denial letter - by that I mean reading it back to me verbatim and being absolutely useless.
Someone else on the new accounts team offered words to the effect of "IRS is crazy slow and can take weeks or months to process," instead suggesting to just do another application. Same result, and she couldn't overturn it. Not sure what else to try at this point!
Delta Airlines' partnership with this appalling organization already has me pushing my loyalty elsewhere.

To the best of my knowledge, such a person doesn't exist at AmEx - they only seem able or interested in working with existing customers.
Super annoying not sure if I need to just submit a new app at this point or what. I feel like if you don't fill out everything right the very first time when you upload it's like and infinite loop of bs. I've had to upload this **bleep** form like 4 times cause certain boxes were checked that I wasn't supposed to check wet signature etc. I've uploaded it again last week and apparently they haven't even REVIEWED it yet to be submitted to irs 😒

I agree highly with every word you've written here, expletives included! To be honest, I've never really gotten a straight answer as to whether applications can even be reconsidered - or once a denial letter is generated, the ONLY option is to do a new app. The rep I talked to who submitted said new app for me said she could transfer to someone who could reconsider it - but she was lying, as the call went overseas and I was immediately told otherwise.
Not that it really matters, but which card(s) were you applying for?
When you filled out the form did you fill out line 5a where it ask for ives participant id number & sor mailbox id? Cause I only filled out 5D just trying to dissect why my form keeps getting kicked back. As u said previously these offshore reps are no help they just basically say bs to get u off the phone not the real reason.
Im in the same boat. Applied for Plat on 4/21. Asked to fill out 4506c. Called and each time I had to fix something . Finally got it right the 4th one and on 4/24 was told in 2-5 days I'd get the decision by email. I'm claiming that I'm approved. Fico 790
no derogatory. This would be my first Amex. My projected income this year is $120k(30k more than my tax return for last year filed of 90k). Hopefully that isn't an issue. Have your heard anything back yet?
