I checked the application status page today. Well it said it was down. So I had created a profile for American Express. Logged in yesterday and of course it wasn't an account just a profile. Today I log in and it's asking for the 15 digits of the card . I'm not going to count it as an approval until I here it from them or get the email.
Early congratulations!!!
Just checking to see how it went officially OP.
Update*
Also my wife received the denial letter in the mail for the recon for the same thing. Length of history with Amex. So now she will have to play the waiting game.
Once Equifax finally sent transcripts it was a green light
Awesome dude congratulations! Yea my wife got a 75k offer on the gold card this morning with 10x points on dinning in 6 months. It was a instant approval.
I told her wait for the 150k/175k offer to reappear on the plat before she apply again. At least now she can get all the SUB's on the charge card according to the new family rule.
Update, my wife was approved for the platinum. Her offer was for the $150k points.
Did she have to do 4506-c?
Yes she did back in April I believe.
Damnnnn that's crazy how long it takes them to process lol I had a few friends get approved recently to for applications they did months ago. Makes me think maybe I'm wasting time calling every week and should just call once a month
Well to be fair, she left the app process alone after I believe the 5th submission. During that time she did get approvals for other cards. Here are some DP of her experience. YMMV.
My player 2 (wife) was in Amex PUJ for the platinum card for the last 30 days. Every time she clicked on a referral link she would get the infamous PUJ message.
Well today she received a targeted offer from AMEX via snail mail. It was $8k spend over 6 months and 150k points. Now it’s not the highest offer out obviously, but once she put in the code she was instantly approved. Of course this is a YMMV type a situation.
Here is her current cards situation
My thoughts are PUJ may only be subjective to referral links. One may see a way out through targeted offers but again YMMV.
