Amex 7 - 10 day message Depressing

After finally waiting 181 days for a CLI ... I get the dreaded 7- 10 day message ..boohoo .. was granted the intial $15k upon activation from a $6k starting limit, was scared but hit the button requesting $24k to stay under the threshold .... do u think Im declined ??

No idea. "X days" doesn't indicate the outcome.  Outcome depends depends on whatever needs to be done, findings, etc.  You'll have to wait and see or call in to see what's going on.

While rare the Amex 7-10 message is not always a denial 

There have been cases where within 24 hours an email appears with an approval 

But again rare

Hopefully this is the case for you and if not try again

I got approved 4-5 stressful days later after 7-10 msg.

I got same message. Called and asked to speak with underwritting and they approved after I answered a few quesions. (Lots of inquires)

I got a 7-10 day message last time when i tried for a CLI on my costco card on april 2015 and got a 7-10 day message but on the same night i got my 3x CLI from 5k to 15k

@Berk rumor has it if you ask for $25k or more it requires financial documents, not sure but that's what I've read here on the forums
