Do you guys think I jumped the gun app'in for the BCE when I just app'd for the ED card and I have a super thin file. It shows that the application is processing. It did not give me a instant decline or anything. Do you senior guys think I will be approved? I called and they said "wait 1-2 days for a decision".
Is it true since I am a current Amex card holder if declined there will be NO hard pulls?

Thats correct. If it declines it will be a soft pull.. Since it was not an instant decline, you are looking towards approval. Keep checking the status and keep us posted.
I forgot to say that they did approve me for the first card the EveryDay for $3000.00
I guess my real concern is the guy said "we might pull from Transunion and Equifax also". If they pull from those and I am declined would it still be a soft pull?
I will keep you guys updated! Thanks I have learned SO SO much from all of you. Especially the senior board members.

Which bureau was pulled for your first card? It is the same they will use... Sometimes, these CSRs tell you things they are not sure off. It will be a soft pull regardless. Amex softpulls your report every month and they will use that report if you apply for something new..

In your provided example, those would be an additional hard pull per. You'd essentially end up with 1 hard pull with each credit bureau. So 2 cards with 1-1-1, not bad.
Well if it is of the last soft pull the Discover it was not reporting yet. My Discover it just started reporting 2 weeks ago. It has a decent limit of $4,600 so I guess if they do approve it would be a low limit cause they will only see my QS1 which has a $1300 limit. I should have waited probably to build history and so they could have seen the higher limit cards I have now.
They originally pulled EX.

They will likely use a softpull from experian again.. Have hope as it was not an instant decline. Keep us posted..
Bad news. I was declined. I called a second time and spoke to a VERY rude Amex employee who stated "I will process your application manually and oh no you have been declined sir" I simply asked why and he said "I will not tell you and look at the letter you get in 7-10 days. WOW. But oh well and he also said it WOULD BE a hard pull from Experian and Transunion. Total bummer. I learned my lesson I guess. I thought it would be a softpull. Do the individual reps have a option to decline or you think the computer did??

I think it's against policy to tell you for some strange reason. I've found that the people you tend to speak to on the weekend seem to be a tad bit less nice. I have no qualms with Amex customer service though. I'm thinking it was the computer unless you spoke to a recon line (UW).
