Amex Denial - Recon?

Speaking of which, I got my denial letter from AMEX today.  They denied me because of credit score.  The letter listed my old score of 649 rather than the one they had on their site at the time I pushed the button, which was 727.  Has anyone ever had any luck with an AMEX CLI recon?

You can call them and explain the situation. They might want a HP though instead of a soft pull. Recon with Amex never really goes well.
