Re: Amex ED Application

I logged on to the application site and the denial has changed to pending. Fingers crossed.

It’s kind of bittersweet. If I get it, it will likely be $1K bucketed and high interest for a long time and push my 5/24 out to 12/2020. It also may entail a third Amex HP in 12 months (the guy made sure to warn me that a recon can involve another hard pull) and a second AAoA smack down by Amex. In a few ways it would be better for me not to get approved for it but regardless, it would be an in with Amex and that can help me in the future so I hope that I get it.

If they try to pull a second bureau though, that’s where I draw the line, so only Experian is unfrozen. I only have one other lender that uses Experian and that’s BBVA so Amex can go ahead and pull away there.
