No the Amex site has my old fico score, I believe the one I got approved with. It has yet to reflect the new score. I thought applying for a new card would result in a HP and thus them seeing the new reports?
Do they SP reports if you've previously applied in X days or something?

Just for reference - is it safe to say that the FICO score showing in your account is the FICO that they'll use? Or is that just supposition? thanks!!
It's kind of ridiculous that some of these companies use scores from old approvals for review on new applications. We all know scores change constantly. You would think they would refresh their scores once a month via softpull. Who knows, perhaps thats why cap 1 is still showing subprime cards on their prequal site for me when i check.
it is **bleep**en ridiculous!!!
I called in a few days ago since it was originally declined due to them pulling old scores. The lady said OK i can resubmit it for review but be warned they may pull your CR. I said that is fine, go ahead. Fast forward to today, no credit report has been pulled and my application went from in progress to declined again!!!
I've tried calling the application status line and all I can get are people in India that are worthless, at least the person I got on the phone. Is there anyone I can **bleep**en speak to that can actually take a look at my app and actually pull my damn credit report and possibly approve this damn card?
I'm just about ready to say screw amex and try for a Chase card. Any suggestions????
Send an email to the executive office. Maybe they will have someone look into it for you. The number is somewhere on this forum. Do a search.
@CreditCuriousity wrote:Most likely they used your SP from your BCE in December it appears as 750 is a very good score and way more than enough for this card. Amex isn't typically scared of inquiries or new accounts.
I did a recent Amex Hilton Surpass application, EXP score of 750, app went pending. I called the next business day after work, was approved, for $1k at the highest APR. I'm thinking I must be at my internal limit (or close to) with AMEX... They probably aren't too happy about the balance I'm carrying at 0% as well on my BCP
