I read that you can app for a charge card and regular cc on amex and only get 1HP . I app last night so it hasn't been 24 hours can i app for a charge card or a travel card and only get 1 HP .

I think I've heard of this happening. But remember there are no guarantees. Just always be prepared to take a HP in a situation where you assume it would be a SP, as it can happen at any time.

Generally you can get away with 1 HP if you apply for a charge card and revolver within a short period of time.

If you apply for multiple revolvers, however, they will put the 2nd one on hold for 5 days and do a new HP for it.

Perks usually makeup for the fee. If you don't need the perks, then it's not the right card for you.

Usually travelers use the perks that come with such cards. Airport lounges are not open and you travel enough you know that it is worth the price.

Last time I flew I paid for a lounge access, got to eat, drink and took a shower. It was evening flight so when I reached my destination late night I didn't feel exhausted.

Travelers also love to get access to TSA Pre or GlobalEntry if they travel internationally. It saves you time and energy. If you don't need this, those cards aren't for you.

I travel few times a year for leisure and find these perks valuable.

Agreed. I don't even fly that often (2-3x per year in the states, 1-2 times per year to Asia) and it's still totally worth it to me for a few of them. As long as you make full use of the perks, that is.

Well my son is only 2 years old i dont think we're going to travel alot for a while. I guess is garden time last app spree last night 7k on marvel 2k amex BCE 5k on amazon and waiting on costco visa recon Amex BCP 5 days hold and blispay . Back to the garden for long long time
