rocks, I requested a cli, and immediately got a 7-10 message. I chatted with a rep online, stating that the limit I have isn't meeting my needs and I want to use Amex more but, I'm giving my heavy use to discover and capital one instead. They asked what I wanted, I was scared due to only have the card for alittle over a month and said $1000 increase. Bingo, done. Just like that they gave me the increase. In hindsight I should of asked for more. But after 90 days I'm going for the 3x which should be 9-12k....

Congrats on the increase but if you initiated the increase request and received any, you have to wait 180 days, not 90 days to try again

OP, congratulations on the CLI, yes you'll have to wait 6 months now.
However, your Green card has NPSL, and it also earns MR points to the same place as your ED, so you should have no issues using that if your ED limit is not enough. Use the ED for groceries, and the Green for everything else for example. As your spend pattern for the Green card develops, your spend ability should rise.
