The PRG will not hurt you in anyway as it is a charge card and will not effect any CLI requests on your revolvers.

I noticed you said something about the Delta Platinum, you may want to re-read the part about first class domestic companion, because unless they have changed something that was a perk of the Reserve  card.

If you apply and are approved for a CLI then the 180 day clock starts across all cards but not until then. Opening a new card isn't going to re-set anything.

I had the same experience when i logged into my AMEX account today. I had "pre-approvals" for the AMEX Green, Gold, and Platinum cards. I already have the AMEX EveryDay and Blue Cash cards so I decided to apply for the "pre-approved" AMEX Gold card and got approved! I just hope this did not cause a hard pull on my credit report.

So, i'm thinking if you see a message that you have been pre-approved....you probably have been.
