What are you going for and with who?

It can certainly be done if you have a strong profile. I think the odds are excellent. 

I apped for my Capital One card in Feb 2009. Weren't ideal times but many here can do it. Like to see what successes are out there.

Well if you have a strong profile odds are in your favor at any time. There is nothing about now that increases your odds of approval. You got apporved for Capital One in 2009 does not prove "odds are excellent". Capital One, didnt stop approving apps in 2009 so an approval does not mean anything.

I'm not planning any new apps because  I have several cards in 0% promo if I need it.

If I didnt have those, I would apply for a new one, but only for that reason.

Just completed one yesterday.. finally. And UW had eyes on it several times over the last week. Regions Cash Rewards for $15k with a 0% on purchases and balance transfers for 18 months. They gave me the best rate on that card offered. And a longer promo than what is posted on the Regions website.
