Re: Anyone apply for Barclay Cash Forward Card???

I was approved for it last week, I just had to move some of the CL from my Sallie Mae to this card. I still think the minimum redemption is too high ($50), but I really wanted a non-cobranded World MC that reports as "Flexible Spending" and gives CB rewards, and the CashForward was the best one I could find. Hell, it was the only one I could find.

Re: Anyone apply for Barclay Cash Forward Card???

I know what your saying. All I want is someone that will give a decent sl so I can do a bt and run my monthly occuring bills thru for points and its hard to find.
Slate gives poor sl and discover isnt any better and citi can be a little better but there the ones I want to bt. I have 3 cards with them that I want to roll into one.
So any new promising card comes out I'm going to be excited.!!!!!
So hopefully we can pool some approvals here with starting limits and scores,so we can get a handle on this newbie....

Re: Anyone apply for Barclay Cash Forward Card???

I decided not apply because of the redemptation amount and lack of FTF on it. Plus if u have a quicksilver visa, you are getting a better deal as is. If you don't have one, I recommend trying for quicksilver visa instead. Cap1 is easier to deal with.

Re: Anyone apply for Barclay Cash Forward Card???

Already have Quicksilver but they wont budge on the 5000 sl and it doesnt have a bt on it.
When I tried for cli they told me I didnt use enough of the cl they gave me to start with. But needs to be double my cl to do what I want to do.
Dont care about redemption being at 50,just let it build. And never travel for ftf to be a problem.

Re: Anyone apply for Barclay Cash Forward Card???

Op, did you get like a 6 to 9k LL Bean approval? Your TU score is great. I would think you would yield at least a 7,500 to 10,000.00 limit with them depending on income, new accounts, etc.

if you really like the idea of that card, go for it. you can always recon Barclays starting credit limit.

Re: Anyone apply for Barclay Cash Forward Card???

My LL Bean was approved for 8000 but I don't know if thats because its co branded card or not. I don't have another Barclays card to go by.

Re: Anyone apply for Barclay Cash Forward Card???

your good to go. Barclays will approve you and give you a nice limit I would think. My friend applied for LL Bean in store and was approved for 9k credit line, TU fico 790.

I think that they would give you a higher credit line on one of their in house cards than a co-branded one but maybe it doesnt even matter. Fico above 750 and only one Barclay card, you are good.

Re: Anyone apply for Barclay Cash Forward Card???

Thx ddemari. Your friends approval is what got me to apply for the bean to start with. And my highest limit.
Im not wanting a new card but if gets what I want accomplished I might try for it.
Just waiting on 2 paid accounts to report to see if I can get that tu score up a bit.
