ok, thanks gardner. Like i said i wont until after my next statement so that i can get back the 12 points that i lost when i let my utl go up.

Here's what happened to me 2 weeks ago:

I applied for the gold card online and was approved instantly so I then immediately applied for the BCE and was approved instantly for a second time. To my knowledge the rule of thumb with Amex is to apply for the charge THEN apply for the revolver SECOND and they will only pull EX one time for both apps. Also you cannot apply for 2 Amex revolvers at the same time. They will hold second revolver app for 5 days then hard pull again. Lastly I showed NO pre-quals on their site... Hope that helps!

Pretty sure you'd have to be approved for one card first then create account then app for revolver while still logged in the same day.
