Does Apple use your current TU score when checking their prequalification portal or is it the previous months score?
If you're checking to apply, GS uses current TU 9 score.

For a couple months I had been checking out Goldman's pre-approval process to see if I could get a better SL and found that an existing pre-approval expires after 30 days (approximately) and so I was re-applying on the 1st of each month and finding that the score returned seemed to change as I expected, each time I re-applied, relative to scores I get daily from Experian or myFico. GS provides the score they obtained every time you apply, whether they approve or not.
The SLs extended changed from month to month as well, fluctuating with my Fico9 scores.
So to answer your question, if they have previously pre-approved the approval is good for 30 days and they don't check any further during that 30 day period. If the approval expires, (after 30 days) and you subsequently re-apply, I think they do a new soft-pull.
Not sure if you're denied but my guess: they may use the same score for up to thirty days but if you wait > 30 days they probably fetch a fresh score.
Apple/Goldman Sachs uses TransUnion FICO9, ChexSystems, & CoreLogic for prequalification and application.
