Thanks for the feedback, everyone! I'd been checking my application status religiously all throughout yesterday, even though I knew not to expect an answer before Monday. However, it turns out the adage about watched pots never boiling applies here, because when I wasn't looking, I got a response back from PenFed late last night (who's burning the midnight oil over there, anyway?):
So this really blew me away! I was hopeful for an approval, but I wasn't counting on it, and I sure wasn't expecting a $5K limit, nor a Visa Signature to boot! So, I don't know what my EQ09 was at the time of the pulls yet, but I was sitting at 11 (now 13) inquiries on EQ, with most of them being for my auto loan in the spring. I'm also 1 year and 4 months out of discharge from my BK7 and, as stated before, I have no prior banking experience with PenFed. Hopefully those DPs will help some fence-sitters out there... PenFed really seems to have loosened their policies regarding BK-afflicted applicants, if my single anecdotal experience is any indication.
Can't wait to build this bad boy up and develop a strong relationship with my new CU! Looks like my CreditOne card's days are numbered, lol... Mods, feel free to move this to Approvals ![]()

Congrats on your approval!! You should contact the person you spoke with in branch. Let them know you got hit with 2 HP. See if one can be deleted, or recoded SP.
