it didn't say I was approved so today they just called me today to verify my information and asked me some questions and said its in processing and will see a letter in the mail in 7-10 business days. What do you think that means? Will I get approved.
Well there is a good news and bad news!
Bad news is Credit One is not a card that you would want, they are horrible fee sucking leaches that prey on people that trying to rebuild their credit! (like me few months ago)
Good news: if you are approved for Credit One, that means you can also be approved for Capitol One cards! so give them a try instead or ANY other secure card from CU that you can get!
FYI you have much better options that you think you do!
I agree, you check the Capital One prequal and see what offers they have for you.
I know credit one gets a lot of heat many places, but the trick is to pay off your balance right away when it does post, and only use it sparingly.... like to buy gas 2 times a month or small grocery bill. Yes, there are fees, and yes, they hold you funds from being credited to your account after payment for about a week if you do the free payment option.
Once you start getting a positive file going, then it opens the door to better CC. I have been able to raise my TU FICO score from a 520 to a 630 in less than a year. Started out with a capital one secured CC with a 200 dollar deposit, then got a bump after 6 months of 300 unsecured, 500 QS, and a 300 credit one.

+1
Do what I did, use it to the extent that you could with such a small limit. After 6 months try for other cards, hopefully get approved then dump it after those arrive. I now have Chase Freedom, Discover IT and some pretty useful store cards. It can help, but be very careful.
Just got a email, I was approved for a unsecured. Just gotta see how much for. Im going to call them and find out.
