Is there a big differnce in the 75k vs the 100k MR bonus for the Amex Platinum? If so what is it exactly? I feel like 75k isnt that hard to come by but the 100k seems nearly impossible to come by. Is it worth it to wait until the 100k is offered, if it ever is, or go with the 75k offer if that pops up again?
If I'm calculating this correctly--75k MR pts. will cover the first year's AF with $200 left over to put toward a gift card, statement credit, etc. Not as good as 100k--but still a win.

If you need it now go for it . If it's not a priority, wait for your unicorn. $550 will still be there to pay either way lol

Unless you just have to have it for a purpose right this minute, i'd wait for the 100k. Why not get the biggest bonus you can, since Amex will never let you have a sign up bonus on a card again. I'm holding out for the 100k, but i'm in no rush to get a 550AF card even if they did add a small saks credit ![]()
Definitely wait for the 100K. 25k extra is still 25K (could be 1RT ticket to Hawaii depending on where you fly from).

If you already have an Amex card odds are you will never see the 100k offer. So waiting out the 100k offer not only keeps you from the Platinum it keeps you from any other Amex card as well.
I say wait unless you spend enough to benefit now from the Plat bonuses. If the card gives the 100k offer next month after applying then you lose but if they don't offer it for 5 years then you might as well get it. It's a risk of potentially missing out on a nice bonus but meanwhile you could be collecting with all the bonuses you could get from the card already.

Never never and never redeem MR for Gift cards. Very bad value.
Look this link OP from thepointsguy, 2 days ago, Cardmatch tool showing 100k offer. Good luck!!!
