Congratulations. Langley is a great credit union.
The best thing about Langley membership....it supplies a free monthly fico 08 score from Equifax. Most here know that the Equifax fico 08 score is hard to get for free, and Langley is the only source I have found for that score for free. You know it is rare when you can't even buy the fico 8 version of the Equifax score from Equifax. That is right, the score that Equifax sells to consumers is a proprietary score no lenders use which is even more useless than a Vantage 3.0 score. That blew my mind when I first found out that even Equifax does not sell it...that is just absurd.
Say What??? That is insane about EQ, let me make sure that I am NOT paying for membership to EQ then, geez!
I just joined Langley, so the EQ score from them is an added bonus. So far, I my only gripe is that external bank transfers are done via carrier pigeon I think, slowest process EVER.

Edit: 😂, no EQ score (soup) for me, it said I am a new member; oh well, I plan to hang out anyway and see if they can carry water for NAVY

I really would not know, I joined, put 50 bucks in savings and 50 in checking and have not added or subtracted from that since. I really just joined to get the free fico 08 from equifax. I was already getting the TU and Exp fico 08 scores for free elsewhere, so I needed a source for the Equifax to complete the trifecta. I may start using it a little though, because I would imagine they might eventually close it due to inactivity. I will probably just soon add some to them and pay a few of my credit cards with that checking account.

@AllZero, Yes!!! Put them on your list, you were so instrumental in helping me on my path, many thanks as I am now a member of TWO Awesome Credit Unions now, on my way to a trifecta in another few months.

As a follow up, after reading how slow the transfer from an external bank was, I decided to see for myself. I transferred from one of my other credit union accounts that day. The account was debited fairly quickly...but then the waiting began, and continues. How do I find out if that carrier pigeon got accidentally shot down by duck hunters? I can with certainty now confirm the reported carrier pigeon comment is both fair and true. Slowest crediting of transferred funds after the debit shows from the external financial institution ever. I only now wonder if his comment is really fair to carrier pigeons who in truth, has an outstanding delivery record even in wars. I think they in fact might use runners, and give special consideration to hiring the disabled veterans who are in wheelchairs, an admirable thing to do. If these runners are veterans injured in the line of duty, it is well worth the wait to help them obtain meaningful employment as we are all in their debt. If this is not the case, being critical of how slow they are in that area is very fair.
@sarge12 , literally LMAO reading you post, in response to my post, about the carrier Pidgeons, who have now been downgraded to runners, and now upgraded to wheeled couriers. My deposit eventually posted, just glad it was just a test and not needed for a payment. A cautionary tale with regard to timing and possibly setting up autopayment transfers for the future.
Happy Friday!

Yes sir, I suddenly remembered that carrier pigeons actually have played vital roles in wars, especially WWI, and we also should be aware of how many coal miners owe their lives to canaries. In many walks of life our feathered friends have proven beneficial when they were not busy dive bombing our heads and cars. Their contribution to society should not be overlooked in spite of their angering pedestrians and car owners alike for their unfortunate, and I think intentional, aim at those below.
