@CreditCuriousity wrote:Well my last application spree I threw in a BBVA application and you guessed it got unable to identify denial.. Anyways this was the 21 or 22nd of last month I applied and fought them through BBB first yielded no results and obviously their customer service, well we don't have to go there we know they are idiots.. So filled a complaint with the CFPB as that is the only way to really possibly get their hands slapped if enough people did it.. I am guessing this is why their online application partially is down due to all the CFPB compalints along with BBB complaints and just general carelessness from them.. Anyways This is their response to my CFPB complaint 15 days later..
So 15 days after issuing my complaint with the CFPB BBVA issues this response.: How lame, least it isn't tthey believe I am a victim of idenity fraud that they were using on other peoples CFPB complaints. How in anyones name does it take 60 days to remove my inquiry and/or approve the account due to "unable to identity identifying information". They have hit a new level of incompetence.
Response back from BBVA through CFPB complaint:
The company has provided a partial response to your complaint number xxxxxx-xxxxxxx describing the steps taken so far to address your issue. They stated they are still working on your issue, and you should hear from them again within 60 days.

Me thinks they might finally be in trouble and buying time to find a legit excuse? I hope they get slapped with a fine or something or at least change how they do business from a result of all the complaints, etc. Least they could of gave me an excuse of to many inquries or to much credit or something else and I would of never filed this. When a consumer has no way of talking to someone that has a clue this is what happens.
Wow is all i can say. This is the main reason why i never ever jumped on their card. After reading so many threads of them issuing cards then canceling. i decided i did not need that kind of headache. Sorry CC you went through the wringer with these jokers. no way.

Not a problem.. As stated kinda expected it, but I like a good challenge as well in a sick way .. Pretty much anything I go after I can get and I don't plan on folding lol.
I do agree they are a joke.. Don't even care about the card anymore it is more about making them not do a disfavor to more people is why I am following this through. If I end up with the card I will abuse them on the 5x NBA weekend and that is about it and give it very little use after as they are a CR*P lender as can be told. I just don't think it is right they think they can get away with the BS excuse due to their incompetence. If nothing more hopefully my complaint among others makes them redo their fraud/risk dept. and fix what ever is wrong with that department as clearly I know where I live, I know what is on my credit report and I can assure you it is really myself applying for the card .. Why they are so adverse to asking for any supporting documents I think this is what baffles most people and makes them mad.
CC , I hope you will get a nice approval
OP, I am in the exact same boat that you are, after getting nowhere with a BBB complaint, and also sending them copies of ALL of my ID, as well as pay stubs, utility bills, passport, drivers license, and SS card via ExpressMail (I took it upon myself to send documentation, since apparently they don't have any way to verify my identity..LOL) , and hearing NOTHING back from them after I did that! I filed a CFPB complaint the other day.

Ya they are a joke.. Their fraud dept is only about 3 horus drive from me, should head down there for a drive and introduce myself as the person that applied for the card, although I wouldnt get past front door lol.. Frigging Idiots
Good luck on yours.. Not expecting an approval to be honest, but I will not go down without a fight and let my displeasure be kown on their BS verification issue. Give them alittle scar as well while I fall is my theory. They ding my credit report I further ding their reputation as a lender by BBB and CFPB compplaint

I'm surprised you'd apply after knowing all the stuff they put people through. Regardless, it's good to file a complaint but I don't think I'd drive 3 hours over this. At some point it becomes about the value of your time vs what is just another credit card.
I agree on all points.. Was joking about driving 3 hours .. Also agree was silly to apply, but I like a good challenge and Experian was well above what they approve people for in the 700's.. I just figured I might sneak through the cracks, but nope and I shood of known better... With that being said I am not going down without a fight and will make their life miserable in the mean time thus the complaints and maybe they will learn how to run a business in a proper fashion and treat potential customers as just that possible customers vs. lack of any sort of customer service and utter incompetence in their fraud/risk department and ability to communicate to the end customer

This is the new norm it appears. Same thing happened to me with Blispay. They would not let me send them the identifying documents even after I volunteered to send the info, they said no they didn't meed it.
