BBVA NBA card

I have gotten zero information after calling and checking the status of my app!

What's more perplexing, no SPs or HPs on Ex or Eq after applying last Friday

At this point I'm not convinced my app was even delivered

It's lost in the great credit card vortex.

Whats the latest they told you on the phone.  Did you get an initial approval or what?

Re: BBVA NBA card

Funny, I got the standard "we need more time to process your application..." message when I applied, but I still haven't gotten any alerts regaring HP's on EQ, EX, or TU.

Not really concerned though. Between Chase and Audi last week, my inquiries are shot to hell for the next 12 months.

Re: BBVA NBA card

Got the ol' "we'll get back to you soon" when I apped.

You're denied, asked to speak to recon then, approved then asked for APR & SL...you're in progress

Re: BBVA NBA card

For a moment I thought BBVA ask its employee to post many threads to promote the NBA card lol. I did not see any thing extraordinary that warrant various threads mention this card. Maybe its just my conspiracy radar acting up

The only things I'm seeing are:

1. Showing pride for your favorite NBA team.

2. Relatively low approval requirements, compared to other Amex co-branded cards.

3. Somewhat generous credit limits.

I'm not sure how #2 really ties in with those stats... what other AMEX co-branded cards are you comparing this too with the same criteria?  If anything Macy's AX is more on the low end of the spectrum.  But, if you're comparing to Travelocity AX, BOH AX, USAA AX, not really.

And, honestly not knowing what SL I would get, it wasn't until I posted the approval where things went crazy, since by that point only a couple folks had been approved a few days prior to me - One7 and B335is - which did not have the same SL as I did.

I THOUGHT a HP was automatic when the app was submitted?

It's my observation that it is easier to get this card compared to the hotel-branded and airline branded cards.
