1. Showing pride for your favorite NBA team.

2. Relatively low approval requirements, compared to other Amex co-branded cards.

3. Somewhat generous credit limits.

I'm not sure how #2 really ties in with those stats... what other AMEX co-branded cards are you comparing this too with the same criteria?  If anything Macy's AX is more on the low end of the spectrum.  But, if you're comparing to Travelocity AX, BOH AX, USAA AX, not really.

And, honestly not knowing what SL I would get, it wasn't until I posted the approval where things went crazy, since by that point only a couple folks had been approved a few days prior to me - One7 and B335is - which did not have the same SL as I did.

Ok, but this card is not issued by AMEX Centurion, it's BBVA Compass Bank so it's like comparing apples to oranges.

Yes, that I would agree with.  Even with the BBVA annual fee.

I applied 04/08 I got hp on Ex . Have not get anything from them..... I got massage that they need more time to process my app .... my problem is I did not copy the app code number. What should I do?

If they haven't contacted you since 4/8 it's possible it was not approved.  Here's a number that baller4life provided on another thread if you want to check on the status o speak with U/W with BBVA > 800-869-1496.

    They're like US Bank. If you don't get approved automatically then you're in manual review. And since that takes one person to actually go over each individual credit report and see if you're worth or not; it's going to take some time. I too have called about 3 times. Twice to the number provided when they gave me the reference code and another call to 1-800-239-5175. I spoke with a guy today and he tried pulling up the application by SSN and/or name and he wasn't able to get anything to show. He said this means that an approval or denial letter weren't entered into the system yet. 

    Out of the 3 so far he seems like he knows what is going on more. I asked if they recently got an influx of applications and he laughed. I am pretty sure he knows about everyone here. Anyways, I'll probably call again shortly and see if they can pull it up by reference number. More than likely you're still being manually reviewed and all you can do is keep calling or just wait for your approval/denial. They may even have to call you.

    Just for reference I was 0007120.  Who knows how many people here applied before me. I know I didn't apply towards the end of the second day. So there's probably a lot of people ahead of me still.

That was the number on the back of the card. It may help it may not.
