AT&T Universal is now Citi
Hechts/Macy's is now Department Stores National Bank (Citi)
Nordstrom is Wells Fargo
JC Penney is Synchrony Bank.
Don't know about the others.
Appreciate the information. Any experience with
Wells Fargoas the creditor holder of the Nordstrom card? I do want a Nordstrom card again, but don't want that rejection.
TD Bank is the current card issuer for both the Nordstrom store and Visa CC. Typically, they tend to be on the conservative side, however, all things considered the store card version would be easier to qualify (for less than perfect profiles) than their Visa Plat/Visa Sig CCs.
Just a note that Nordstom is T.D. Bank...

Nordstrom credit cards are issued by TD Bank USA, N.A.; subject to approval. Nordstrom is TD Bank USA, N.A.'s service provider for the Nordstrom Credit Card program.
However Dillard's is Wells Fargo.
Edit: Sorry for the repeat; I need to refresh my tabs more often... @FinStar beat me to it!

Thank you for the info about TD Bank.
Does TD Bank offer any pre-qual? I'm thinking if so and I'm on their radar in a favorable way, then getting a Nordies card might not be difficult. Also, who does TD Bank pull from? EX?
i don't know, but Nordstom has two cards, a "regular" card and a "Nordstrom Amex" card. If you're over five years out after a BK, they may approve you for the basic card; after six months or a year, you can try to upgrade to the Amex (note their Amex is basically a standard revolving card as well, more similar to a MasterCard or Visa card elsewhere than to the Amex Green card).
That's news to me. The local Nordstrom applications on display in my city show Wells Fargo. But I do think TD Bank tends to be pretty flexible.

I believe you're getting Dillard's and Nordstrom mixed up.
Dillard's, just like Nordstrom, has a store version and a major CC version. Except, Nordstrom is not issued as an American Express, only Visa Plat/Sig. Dillard's is issued by Wells Fargo.
It has been long enough. You shouldnt have any issues with any of these banks; as long as your current score and report are in line.
Advanta Bank got into some serious problems 2008 and the credit card part was set off to someone I never heard of (strange things were reported there) and the banking part was reported to have been taken over by Zion Bank in Utah. The FDIC stepped in as Advanta had many legal issues beyond not meeting requirements. At one time I had a business credit card with them ...
