Re: BOA Better Balance Rewards pending

Hi!

So I applied for the Better Balance Rewards card today and got the result that they're currently reviewing my information and will send me the results by mail. I put 2 balance transfers (total $1,500) on the application.

Can anyone point me to a current number for the recon line?

I have 730ish scores and 5 new cards added this year (6 cards total, 3 student loan accounts, 1 auto account all in good standing.) I had several late payments on a BOA card about 6-7 years ago, but the card was eventually paid in full and then closed a couple years later for no activity. Do you think I have a good chance to be approved if I call?

WIsh you would have applied on a monday. That way you could have used the same inquiry and grabbed a travel rewards bonus or an amtrak bonus!

Not sure about the other. It would probably benefit you to call in when someone is available.

How do you mean? By applying for multiple cards?

Yes, BOA combines apps, but the monday thing was so a recon person would have been available. It may not always be in a persons interest to get multiples....especially since your first card wasnt instant. It can hurt your AAOA as well. But when you have the amtrak card with a bonus worth quite a bit, or the Travel rewards with a $200 bonus.... Hopefully you get approved and then in 6 months you can apply for a 2nd BBR!
