Question for you guys. So I have done alot of inquires in the past year about 20 on each bureau and I do want a BOA Cash Rewards card. I recently applied got an counter offer for the secured version but all my cards are unsecured so that did not sit well with me and spoke to anaylst and he said I just have too many inquires. So about how long should I wait to reapply so I can get approved. Not worried so much about SL or interest rate. I would love to wait two years so the majority of the inquires can fall off I dont know if I could wait that long tho lol. but if need be I could.
Current EX score is:707
That card is HARD to get. I was declined with a 700+ score. They referenced needing more credit history and me owing $13,000 (My utilization was only 11% and much of that is merchandise for our business and au balances). Could not sway them.
My credit goes back to 6/14.
Many people on My Fico have been declined for that card. Their algorithms are strict for approval.
If you really, really want it - the secured offer is not a bad way to go. You are in, build a relationship and prove they have your loyalty.
Good Luck!

+1 The above advice is about as good as it gets, OP.

My Experian has around 10 inquiries and I got that card last month, great card to have and almost got the lowest interest rate. I started getting offers for it after previously going to their website multiple times throughout a few months and checking for a pre approval, eventually they sent me the bankamericard MasterCard offer which they still do and one day they sent me a pre approval for this card. It's also my second lowest limit well behind my other cards but still more than enough.
Sublime,
How rock solid is their preselected status offer? I just received one in the mail for a $200 cash reward bonus. Weird that I was denied last month for same card, they said I had too many new cards.

Generally speaking. Those offers are not really solid along with Discover, unless you get a rock solid APR (not a range), even that's not a guarantee.
Take the secured offer!
I had to recon for mine. It's 22% APR. $1k SL. It's one of their "speciality" logo cards, I have the ASRT on it so mine is sparkly white. I was turned down for having 6 months of revolving history, but thank ODIN the recon CSR granted me a chance to prove myself.
If recon doesn't work, TAKE THE SECURED OFFER. Humbling, yes, but their secured cards does unsecure into the cash rewards card!
Side note, I can't get a discover nor AmEx. They have told me to pound sand. Each their own with lenders.
