BOA DP

It's been said on here that a new APP for BOA CC pulls from TU.

I just app'd this morning for their Cash Rewards Visa Signature CC
and the notification just came in now that they pulled from EX (New Jersey)

which explains why they countered with a "secure card" (Smiley Frustrated)
and not the card I was asking for since my EX F8 is much lower than my TU F8.

Re: BOA DP

Congratulations on your approval!

From data points, they pull Experian or TransUnion depending on the region. YEMV.

The card should unescure quickly and grow with SP CLI.

At 5th month, call into csr and ask for early graduation. If denied, try following month until successful.

I was very surprised at the counter offer for a secured card. I did everything by the book on this one, even got a checking account that I have to leave $1500 dead in just to get under the 7/12 rule instead of the 3/12 rule and still this result which to me is a setback. Not to mention I don't get the $200 sub and it's currently costing me $99 for this secured card.

Oh well, thanks for the advice  Smiley Happy

Re: BOA DP

It was Ex for personal, TU for business for me, whether it was a loan or credit card.   I am in Jersey.

Re: BOA DP

Pulls can vary by region in some cases. Some banks basically always pull a certain bureau and others change it around more depending where you are.

Back when BoA used to hard pull for CLI, it was (IME) a HP on TU for CLI requests. But new card apps were always EX.
