BOA app thru their app soft pull

Launched my boa app and saw the boa 123 cc offer for 150 sub. Applied thru the app, didn’t get it, didn’t get a hard pull. Was it a soft pull because I didn’t get it?
Thanks

Not necessarily.  Often times third party/CMS providers may have a lag or delay in providing HP data - depending on which one you're subscribed to.  Typically, HPs will go alongside with any BOA new applications (usually EX).

Re: BOA app thru their app soft pull

I applied 6/19
I have creditwise NerdWallet and WalletHub none alerted me as they had in the past when I app’ed boa.

I’m wondering if this is a change to sp for card members since they changed cli requests to sp

You need to be mindful that a lot of the third party apps only monitor one credit agency not all 3. BofA normally uses experian. You view your credit report with them for free. Check it out and let us know if BofA did a HP back on 6/19.

Thanks

Re: BOA app thru their app soft pull

The last time, and times before, when I app’ed or requested cli from boa I was immediately notified by creditwise and nerdwallet and WalletHub. All my boa apps and cli requests show on those fakos except the one on 6/19 so it had to be a soft pull unless I’m missing something.

If you requested a CLI with BofA before a CC app then the CLI would of use to be a TU HP and it would of used that hard pull 99% of the time for new cards for 30 days thus wallethub and creditwise would of caught it as they monitor TU hp's..  Now that BofA new CLI policy is a SP on TU obviously you don't obtain a HP and I am 99% certain now if you looked at Experian you would see a HP for BofA on the day you applied for the card as Creditwise/Wallethub don't monitor experian which BofA uses for new cards unless in their previous state you did a CLI and obtained a HP on TU first..  If you goto this site you can see your Experian credit report for free and see if their is a HP from BofA on it as it should show or at least I bet you see one more HP than expected on your Experian file if it doesn't allow you to drill down to the creditor since free.

Just one of many sites you can get your experian score or Experian I believe actually lets you see your report once a month for free as well with Fico 08 at

Too much Fantasy Island as a kid I suspect😜
Seriously I’m so glad I asked here or I would have left a longer trail of hp’s on Experian than the 22 there now 🙄
