BOFA Secured Approved Or Not?

I apped for the BOFA secured card a few days ago and after completing the application, to include giving a deposit, I received the "your application is under review" message.

How long should I wait........7-10 days?

I got the same message, butthe money was outof my funding account in just a couple days and had the card a few days after that.

Make sure you get the cash rewards secured card, if not, you can phone/chat with them and ask for it. Even before you get the card.

I would say not to worry, just keep checking.  They are more than a bit slow updating that status checker link and if they took your deposit you should be in.

Yeah, like others have stated, watch your bank account. If they take your money you have been approved.

I tried calling today to get the card switched to Cash Rewards (I think I signed up for the wrong card) but their closed today.  Do you guys think tomorrow will be too late?

BTW nothing has been removed from my bank account but it could be because my bank is also closed today and was closed over the weekend when I did the online application.

The same happened to me, I applied for the regular cash rewards (unsecured) and I wasn't approved for the unsecured version but they immediately offered me the partially secured ($99/$500) version. It said I was preselected for it but still had to finish the application for the partially secured card and it had me fill out where I wanted them to take out the $99.

When I was done filling that out it told me my application was under review (for the partially unsecured one) and 7-10 days. I immediately called and she told me she can see it was definitely approved even though when I check the status is still says under review. The very next day they took the $99 out (it was a different bank to that I requested the money come out of) and yesterday the new card showed up online under my account! I haven't received the card yet but the online status still tells me it is under review when its obviously approved. It tells me both applications (unsecured and partially secured) are under review. It was also only 1 hard pull for both apps (unsecured and partially secured) so it seems like I was approved as soon as the system offered that card to me after I was denied for the insecure version.

@newhis    I called Bank of America today and was told that there is no secured cash rewards card available.  The representative stated if I had applied for an unsecured card and was denied, then they could have countered with the BankAmericard Cash Rewards Card.

She checked the status of my application and told me that my application was approved and the funds will be withdrawn from my account in 48-72 hours.

You can add cash rewards to your secured card. I just had mine converted about a week or so and should be getting my new card soon. I did my request via online chat. Was easy and fairly quick.
