BP to FNBO - CLI?

My BP card is being transferred to FNBO and converted to a Visa.  The BP card has a CL of $850 and was mostly used for AVGas and paid off each month.  Never bothered with a CLI.  My new BP Visa has the same CL and I was wondering if anyone knows what FNBO's CLI policy is?  Would I be considered a new customer or an existing one due to the 30+ years of history with BP?  Are they in-line with the industry of requiring 6 months before a CLI for a new account?

Thanks.

Re: BP to FNBO - CLI?

You'd be considered a new FNBO customer given the recent transition from SYNCB.

You can call to see whether your account is eligible for any SP CLI offers. If an offer is available, you can accept it and it will be SP. Otherwise, if you want anything higher it will be a HP. Submitting CLI requests online will also be HP, so it's best to call.

As far as frequency, if approved for a CLI, you can request them usually every ~4 months or so.

Re: BP to FNBO - CLI?

Dilbert934,

The account does not officially transfer until May 22nd. Not sure if Synchrony has accounts locked up for cli requests as they will be transitioning.

Worth logging in and trying.

The no longer are accepted CLI from synchrony. I tried 2 weeks ago and got a letter stating that it is no longer and options

You'll be considered a new customer. FNBO is a much better company IMO. At least 4 months for CLI but I would wait until 6 months for your first one. Call in and ask if they have a SP CLI available for your account. Any other way and you will risk a HP.
