Bank of America, reallocation and Income/CL ratios

I am considering another BofA Cash Rewards card. I already have a fairly high ratio (~40%) of BofA personal credit to my personal income (since some income goes on a separate return).

Is it best that I request a CLD before applying? How far in advance of applying? Or will it likely go pending and I can then just call to reallocate if needed?

Personal spend: Amex Gold, Amex Schwab Plat., BofA PR+CCR(x2), Costco
Business use: Amex Bus. Plat., BBP, Lowes Amex AU, CFU AU
Perks: Delta Plat., United Explorer, IHG49, Hyatt, "Old SPG"
Mostly SD: Freedom Flex, Freedom, Arrival
Upgrade/Downgrade games: ED, BCE
SUB chasing: AA Platinum Select

BoA will reallocate, they did it for me in 2021. Have not heard of a policy change.

If you apply and all they need is to just shift credit lines around they will do it for you without input from you. With that you will at least know where you stand as far as how much credit BofA is willing to extend you. For that reason I would go ahead and just apply, that way you can see where you stand with them and adjust lines accordingly if you don't like they reallocated your credit

Approved for a high CL without need for reallocation.
