The good thing ( if there is a shinning light ) is that if you are BLed by Barclays, they wont pull your report. Youll be denied immediately. The worst bank is Chase because they will double HP you and then deny for for being on their BL
Try Discover when your 2 years out of bk.. But as other folks said. work with what you have...
Other thing is.. Sign up for Credit Scorecard through Discover and get at least a monthly Exp FICO score....not FAKO
Also if you sign up on a different day.... perhaps 15 days after CS, you can get a monthly Exp FICO from experian freecreditscore.com ... every 30 days as well. problem is it too starts the day you sign up...
At least youll have twice a month Experian Ficos to go with your fakos.... And you can also do the 1$ CCT trick but you have to be alert and cancel quick enough... also needs a separate login from experian though different from your free credit score FICO from exp..
At least that will get you started.. Though id consider finding a score service esp since your watching a BK rebuild...
Id also consider a secured share loan if you dont have an open installment loan reporting...

Ps, i feel ya, i spent a dime for burning Amex, but they felt i served sufficient enough time to give me a second chance
You were able to get back in with AMEX after 10 years? I have always wondered if there was a way to get in sooner if let's say, you get a PenFed AMEx card or something of the sort Not sure though.

I already have a Discover It. I applied for and was approved for it in February, 2.5 months out of bankruptcy and was approved for a CL of $1200. My FICO score with Discover is currently sitting at a 644.
I have two auto loans reporting that I have had for 3 years that I reaffirmed on. Though, it was painful reaffirming for an additional amount of equity on both. One is a $40K loan sitting at $36K now and the other was a $7K sitting at $6200. I also have $14k in student loans left that have never been late.
Just trying to get an idea of what other cards to get in the upcoming future that will help bukld a more solid foundation. If AMEX and Barclay's are out because I burned them, so is Chase and CITI because of my BK. Any ways of getting in with Chase or CITI with a retail card or soemthing of the sort?
Have you tried the Iron Bank?

You can almost always get off the Amex blacklist by paying the balance owed. They will usually put you in the optima oasis program for a year or so before they will let you have a different card.
Co-branded cards that are not issued by Amex (aka any Amex card you can't apply for on Amex.com) are not subject to the Amex blacklist.
